(Died February 7, 2014)

Irma V. Jeffries, age 89, of Osage, died Friday, February 7, 2014. at Mitchell County Regional Health Center in Osage.

There will be a prayer service for family and friends at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2014, at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage with Pastor Sam Mack officiating. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Osage Cemetery.

Irma was born on July 30, 1924, in Stacyville, Iowa, to Vernie and Emma (Miller) Adams. She attended school in Little Cedar. On September 28, 1944, she married Leo Jeffries in Kahoka, Missouri. Irma worked at the Maid Rite Café, Cedar Valley Produce, and retired from A to Z Drying. She enjoyed dancing, scrapbooking, embroidery, gardening, and playing Scrabble and cards.

Irma is survived by her children, Carole (Bob) Parr of Park City, Illinois, Leo (Barb) Jeffries of Osage, and Oliver (Teri) Jeffries of Osage; 15 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; sister, Frieda Naber of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leo Jeffries in 1984; grandson, Donnie Rosen; and sister, Alzina Sheldon.
