Ailee Ketchum Hendricks McIntyre Chapman, 84, passed away September 29, 1998 in Sandy, Utah.
She was born February 6, 1914 in Riceville, Iowa to Bert and Ethel (Ketchum) Hendricks.
She married Don McIntyre in August of 1940. He preceded her in death in February 1955.
She married Gene Chapman in 1960. He preceded her in death in 1978.
She graduated from Carleton College, Northfield Minnesota in 1936. She and her husband Don founded Midland Industries in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She served as a director of the First National Bank of Riceville, Iowa for 20 plus years. She started Chapman Golf Center in Cedar Rapids. In 1958 she acquired and operated Hidden Valley Ranch in Pinedale, Wyoming.
After her retirement in 1964 she loved traveling in her Cadillac visiting family and friends, wherever and whenever she could.She is survived by two sons, Jim (Cindy) McIntyre, Steve McIntyre; grandchildren Jack (Kim) McIntyre, Carolyn (Kyle) Weaver, Molly and Ashley McIntyre; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother Elbert Hendricks.
At her request she is going to be interred in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Funeral directors Larkin Mortuary
