Funeral services were held Saturday morning in Spencer, Iowa, for Mrs. Florence White, 95, formerly of Riceville, with Rev. Carpenter officiating, followed by graveside committal services at the Calvary Cemetery in Riceville. The Baumgarten Funeral Home in Spencer was in charge of arrangements.
Florence died on Wednesday, November 5, 1986 at a Spencer nursing home.
She married Michael White on October 28, 1920, In Riceville. She served as postmaster at Riceville form 1935 to 1958.
Mrs. White is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Wyman (Kay) Steffen, of Spencer; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
