RANDALL GILLIS, 67
DIED IN SAN DIEGO
Last rites for a native Osager, Randall Gillis, 67, were held in San Diego, California, on December 20, 1971, after undergoing surgery two days earlier. He had been in failing health for the past several months.
Mr. Gillis and his wife, Ruth, had returned in October from a trip east where they visited their only son, John, an instructor at Rutgers University.
he spent most of his youth in Osage, having graduated from high school here. He was also a graduate of Iowa State University in Ames. He worked for three years as a research engineer with Western Electric, living in Chicago and New York until his retirement to California.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth; son, John; two grandsons; two sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Snyder of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada, and now in Sidney, Australia, and Mrs. Ralph (Ruth) Burnham of Osage.
Cremation took place in California, and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
