DIED JUNE 9
Funeral services for a Grafton resident, Walter Bublitz, 67, were held Saturday afternoon. Mr. Bublitz died June 9, at St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, after many months of illness.
Rev. V. Baderschneider, church pastor, was in charge of the services at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Grafton. Arrangements were by C.R. Champion and Sons, and burial was in the church cemetery.
Walter L. Bublitz was born on February 26, 1904, near St. Ansgar, Iowa, the son of Leo and Lydia Kruger Bublitz. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.
Irene Williams and Walter Bublitz were married on October 1, 1933. He was a trucker and was in the livestock business.
Surviving are his wife, Irene of Grafton; four sisters, Mrs. Mabel Priem of St. Ansgar, Mrs. Lilly Kirchgatter of Osage, Mrs. Kenneth (Dorothy) Zuehl of Toeterville, Mrs. Walter (Lucille) Mitch of Bakersfield, California; and one brother, Harold of St. Ansgar.
Preceding him in death were his parents and one sister, Mrs. Carl (Esther) Voight.
