fFuneral services were held Thursday, July 9, 1987 at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, Iowa, for Maurice Hudson, 86, of Osage, who died Tuesday, July 7, 1987 at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital.
Rev. J. Gilbert officiated and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Mr. Hudson was born on October 22, 1900, in East Lincoln Township, Mitchell County, Iowa, to William and Nettie (Welch) Hudson. He was educated in rural East Lincoln Township schools and attended Osage High School.
He and Pearl Baker were married in 1920. Mr. Hudson farmed all his life in East Lincoln Township. He had lived in a care center for several years.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl in 1968; his parents; two brothers; and one sister.
Survivors include one daughter, Elaine Hamilton of San Francisco, California; two sons, Hugh of La Crescenta, California, and William of Prairie Village, Kansas; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Maurice was found in the 1940 census living in East Lincoln township, Mitchell county, Iowa. He (age 39) was listed with his wife, Pearl (37), and children, Hugh (18) and Elaine (16).
