Funeral services were held Friday, June 26, 1987 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Mason City, for Henry Bernhardt, 83, of rural Plymouth. He died on Wednesday, June 24, 1987 at his home. Rev. M. Severtson officiated and burial was in the Elmwood Cemetery, Mason City.

Mr. Bernhardt was born on December 17, 1913 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, son of Fred and Mary (Schmieder) Bernhardt. The family moved to St. Ansgar where he attended school.

He farmed with his father until he married Marjorie A. Kellar on December 17, 1948 in Mason City. The couple then farmed near Plymouth until retirement.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Survivors include his wife, Marjorie A. of Plymouth; three sisters: Mrs. Herman (Emma) Wolff of Osage, Mrs. Harold (Lydia) Sellon of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. C.B. (Ruth) Christiansen of Manly; and by two brothers, Edward of Plymouth and Fred of Mason City.
