My name is Steve Van Wie. Frank Van Wie from Osage, Iowa, is my grandfather. He was born in Osage, Iowa, 25 Aug 1873, died 28 Nov 1947, Minneapolis, Minnesota, buried in Osage, Iowa.
He was married to Agusta Peterson, about 1898. They farmed in the Alexandria, Minnesota, area. They had four children: Clayton, William, Grace, and Leon. First three born in Osage, Iowa, Leon born in Alexandria, Minnesota. Do not know much about Augusta Peterson Van Wie.
I think her father's name was Peter Peterson of Osage, Iowa. I have traced the Van Wie family back to a Hendrick Gerritse Van Wie in NY in 1664 from Holland. Also related to a Jacob Burhans from Holland to USA in Mar 1660.
