Larry L. Rosel (1945-2008)

HUDSON, IOWA - Larry L. Rosel, 62, of Hudson, died Monday, August 25, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City.

He was born on September 3, 1945, in Osage, Iowa, the son of Lawrence and Norma Wells Rosel. He married Rosemary Charley in 1983.

Mr. Rosel graduated from Nora Springs High School. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa and his master's degree in administration from Drake University.

He is survived by his companion, Rosemary Rosel of Hudson; three daughters: Kim (Brett) Appleberg of Aurora, Illinois, Michelle (Judd) Grover of Dyersville, and Deana (Ryan) Trotter of Parkview; three stepsons, John (Barb) Charley of Dike, Jeff (Michelle) Charley of Reinbeck and Allen Charley of Prior Lake, Minnesota; a stepdaughter, Deanna Carlyle of Luther; nine grandchildren; 10 step-grandchildren; his mother of Osage; and a brother, Brad of Tucson.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Private family services took place at Locke Funeral Home, Waterloo.

Rosemary was his faithful companion for 25 years.
