Hans Hendrikson was born August 5, 1835 at Fekjer, Nor​way. He emigrated to Wisconsin between 1860-1863.

Hans married Anna Olsd​atter Dokkebakken on December 26, 1863 at Bostwick Valley, Wisconsin.

The couple had 6 children: Gustava Karina and Olaf Hendrick were born at Dane, Wisconsin; Hendrick, Klara Hellina, Ida Christine and Hans Adolf were born at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa.

Hans, his wife and the first 2 children moved from Dane, Wisconsin to a farm at Rock Grove, Floyd Co, Iowa between 1868 and 1870. The family is found in the 1873 Rock Creek Lutheran Church Members list. Hans was a farmer.

1880: Hans Hendrickson 45, Anna Hendrickson 37, Augusta Hendrickson 14, Olie Hendrickson 12, Henry Hendrickson 10, Clara Henrickson 8, Ida Hendrickson 6, Nelse Nelson 20.

1885: Hans Hendrickson 49, Anna Hendrickson 42, Gusta C Hendrickson 19, Olof H Hendrickson 17, Henry Hendrickson 14, Clara P Hendrickson 12, Ida C Hendrickson 10.

Hans Hendrikson die​d March 31, 1885 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa and is buried at t​he Rock Creek Lutheran Church cemetery, Mero​a, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa​.

Found his last name spelled various ways and sometimes as Hans Hendrikson Fekjer or Fekjaer.
