Ida Elizabeth Wenger, the oldest child of carl and Sarah Wenger, was born on February 1, 1868, in Monroe, Wisconsin, and passed away after 28 hours of illness on Febuary 5, 1943, at the home of her son, Ralph, near Rudd, Iowa, at the age of 75 years and 4 days.
Her early girlhood was spent in Monroe, Wisconsin. On December 25, 1892, she was united in marriage to Henry Kleckner; fie years later they moved to Radcliffe, Iowa, where they resided for 19 years. In 1916 they moved to Riceville, where they lived until the death of Mr. Kleckner on March 20, 1939. Since that time she had made her home with her children.
Her life was devoted to her family's welfare and happiness. Her courage endeared her to all who came in contact with her, and her loss will be felt by everyone who knew her.
Four children survive: one daughter, Mable Kruse of Cresco; three sons: Clarence of Riceville, Ralph of Rudd, and Earl of Estherville; ten grandchildren; two brothers, Rudy and George Wenger of Monroe, Wisconsin; and a host of relatives and friends.
