I. S. Duncan Burned To
Death In Fire At His
Home Wednesday

RICEVILLE, IOWA - An 81-year-old man was burned to death when the lower floor of his home was gutted in a fire here Wednesday afternoon.

I. S. Duncan was found on the stairs when firemen broke into his flaming house Wednesday after the fire was reported by a neighbor, Floyd Auringer. A faulty furnace evidently caused the fire.

Funeral services are incomplete at the Riceville Funeral Home. He is survived by one son, Kenneth, living in Minneapolis.

Damage in the house amounted to about $10,000.

Funeral services are incomplete at the Riceville funeral Home. He is survived by one son, Kenneth, of Minneapolis.
