Death In Fire At His
Home WednesdayRICEVILLE, IOWA - An 81-year-old man was burned to death when the lower floor of his home was gutted in a fire here Wednesday afternoon.
I. S. Duncan was found on the stairs when firemen broke into his flaming house Wednesday after the fire was reported by a neighbor, Floyd Auringer. A faulty furnace evidently caused the fire.
Funeral services are incomplete at the Riceville Funeral Home. He is survived by one son, Kenneth, living in Minneapolis.

WRECKS HOMERICEVILLE, IOWA - An 81-year-old man burned to death when the lower floor of his home was gutten in a fire here Wednesday afternoon.
I.S. Funcan was found on the stairs when firemen broke into his flaming house Wednesday after the fire was reported by a neighbor, Floyd Auringer. A faulty furnace evidently caused the blaze.
Damage in the house amounted to about $10,000.
Funeral services are incomplete at the Riceville funeral Home. He is survived by one son, Kenneth, of Minneapolis.
