Jim Duffy's Lost
Two-Year-Old Son.
Burial Here

Funeral service was conducted by the Rev. J. B. McDonald Tuesday morning, at Immaculate Conception Church, for Stephen Lee, 2-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. James Duffy of Detroit, Michigan. Burial was in Calvary Cemetery.

Stephen Lee died April 18 in Herman Kelfer Hospital in Detroit of meningitis. He was born May 21, 1951, at Ipsilanti, Michigan.

The parents were reared here in Riceville. Mrs. Duffy is the former Helen Hughes, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Hughes, and Mr. Duffy is a son of Mrs. Goldie Duffy.

Surviving are the parents and grandparents and three little brothers - Charles, Brian and Jimmy.

Mrs. Hughes, Tom Duffy of LeRoy, Minnesota, and Joe Duffy of Des Moines, went to Detroit to accompany the body to Riceville for burial. The James Duffy family and his mother, who had been visiting there, came also, and the Duffy family is remaining for a brief visit.

NOTES:
His tombstone spells his name as "Steven". It also says he was born May 19, 1951, not May 21, as the obituary said.
