Stacyville, Iowa — Arthur J. Green, age 65, died suddenly at Mercy hospital in Mason City Monday. A month ago he submitted to major surgery and death was caused by a heart condition.
Born August 3, 1882 at Stacyville. With the exception of a year and half he spent his entire life in this community. On June 26, 1907 he married Elizabeth Wolf and to this union two sons were born, Leon Green, Mason City, and Ralph, Stacyville. For a number of years. Mr. and Mrs. Green operated the Commercial Hotel and later entered the restaurant field. The last 20 years Mr. Green had been a livestock dealer.
He was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers and two sisters.
He leaves two sons and five grandchildren.
The funeral was here Thursday.
