MCINTIRE, IOWA - Gerald Alan Cummings, 55, known to all as Kenny, of McIntire, passed away on Sunday June 2, 2013, at his home.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 6 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in rural Elma, with Rev. Dan Christensen officiating. The committal service will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville.
Friends may pay their condolences at the home of Jeanne Kulow in McIntire.
Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville is in charge of arrangements.

Gerald Alan Cummings, age 55, known to all as Kenny, of McIntire, Iowa, passed away on Sunday June 2, 2013 at his home. A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 6 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul’s Maple Leaf Lutheran Church in rural Elma, Iowa, with Rev. Dan Christensen officiating. The committal service will take place at 1:30 p.m. at Riverside Cemetery in Riceville, Iowa. Friends may pay their condolences at the home of Jeanne and Kenny in McIntire, Iowa. Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville is in charge of arrangements.
Kenny was born in Cresco, Iowa, son of Thomas and Doris (Hanson) Cummings, on September 13, 1957. Kenny was baptized and confirmed at Immaculate Conception Church in Riceville, Iowa. He attended school, graduating from Riceville High School in 1975. He worked in construction most of his life until a car accident in 1991. Following the accident, he worked selling cars and motorcycles for dealerships and privately for several years. He also worked for Pinicon Farms over the last five years.
Kenny was an eccentric comedian with a wild, amazing sense of humor, and was overall a wonderful grandfather. He enjoyed collecting antiques, fishing, socializing, cruising with friends, and loved his dog Jake.
Survivors include his wife Jeanne of McIntire, two sons, Neal (Michele) Kulow of Stacyville, Iowa, and Bryan Kulow and Jennifer of Riceville, Iowa; his grandchildren: Tanner, Ian, Kyla, Abbie, Tori, and Jude; his brothers: Mike (Dee) Cummings of New Smynra Beach, Florida, Terry Cummings of Dallas, Texas, Steven (Ali) Cummings of Evansdale, Iowa, John (Lori) Cummings of Rockwell, Texas, Tom (Michele) Cummings of Riceville, Iowa, and Bob Cummings of Mason City, Iowa. His sisters: Mavis (Dennis) Miller of Waterville, Minnesota, Marlys (Dennis) Mayer of Portland, Oregon, Pat (Mike) Fuller of Waterloo, Iowa, Judy Carlson of Pasadena, Texas, Sharron (Gary) Zobeck of Elma, Iowa, and his mother, Doris Cummings and Cliff Wuertz of McIntire, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his father Thomas in 1982 and his nephew Michael Cummings, Jr.
