Funeral services will be held today, Wednesday, November 26, 1986 at the United Church of Christ in Osage, for Pauline Dodge, 87, of Orchard, Iowa. Pastor K. Hejnal will officiate, and burial will be in the Orchard Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday afternoon, at Champion Funeral Home. She died on Monday, November 24, 1986, at an Osage nursing home.
She was born on February 26, 1899 in East Lincoln township, Mitchell County, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Myrtle (McGill) Armstong. She was educated in area rural schools. On January 28, 1920 she and Ralph Dodge were married at the home of her paretns near Orchard. The couple farmed in the Orchard area until retiring in 1966.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph in 1985; one son, Gordon; one brother; and three sisters.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Glen (Jean) Wetherell or Orchard; two sons, Corwin of Osage and Dale of Rochester; 13 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; one brother, Kenneth Covey of Marshalltown; and nieces and nephews.
