Kenneth E. Erdmann, age 63, of Plymouth, died Monday, May 6, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota, with friends and family by his side.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Bethel United Methodist Church in Manly with Rev. Beverly Butler officiating. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 9, 2013, at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

Kenneth was born July 25, 1949, in Osage, the son of Gilbert and Eleanor (White) Erdmann. He graduated from Osage High School in 1967. Ken enlisted in the U.S. Army serving tours in Germany and Thailand. He was a life member of the Osage VFW as well as a member of the Manly American Legion. On September 22, 1973, Ken was united in marriage to Mary Kay Harmon at First United Methodist Church in Osage. The family made their home in the Plymouth area.

Ken worked for Ziegler, Inc. of Mason City for 37 years in many different capacities. Most of his career was spent in heavy equipment sales. He truly enjoyed serving his customers which he considered to be friends. Ken was a member of Pioneer Town & Country Club in Manly, where he spent many happy hours of camaraderie with his golfing buddies. He enjoyed camping and gathering with friends and family. Ken loved working in his garage, tinkering with cars and especially enjoyed cruising in his ’66 Nova.

Kenneth is survived by his wife, Mary Kay of Plymouth; a son, Doug (Andrea) Erdmann of Rochester, Minnesota, and their son Colton; a daughter, Dawn Erdmann of Waukee; four siblings, Judith (Joel) Voaklander of Osage, Cheryl (Alan) Adams of Osage, Kevin Erdmann of Osage, Christine (Troy) Levenhagen of Mason City; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
