Funeral services were held Thursday, December 11, 1986 at Champion Funeral Home in Osage, Iowa, for Shirley Hinders, 50, of rural Osage. She died on Monday, December 8, 1986, at the Osage hospital after a brief illness.
Rev. J. Pittman of the United Methodist Church officiated and burial was in the Osage cemetery.
Mrs. Hinders was born March 21, 1936 in Iowa City, to Charles and Mabel (Pint) Bower. She attended Osage schools and married Lloyd Hinders on June 20, 1959, at Mason City.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. William (Laura) Koenigs of McIntire, and Denise Hess and Susan Hinders, both of Osage; one son, Jerry of Longmont, Colorado; four grandchildren; three sisters: Mrs. Charlotte Moore of Longmont, Colorado, Mrs. George (Jeannine) Mullenix of Barstow, California, and Jeanette Harriman of Osage.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1985; one brother; and one sister.
