Services Held for Reva V. Clark, 79

Funeral services for Reva Verlie Clark were held in St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Riceville on Friday, February 3, with Reverend Betrand Hinrichs officiating. Reva passed away Wednesday, February 1, 1984 at the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in Stacyville, Iowa.

She was born at Newberg, Jasper County, Iowa on July 4, 1905, the daughter of Jerry and Cora White Clark. The family moved to Jamestown Township in 1912, where Reva's father was engaged in farming.

Reva attended grade school in Jamestown Township and graduated from the Riceville High School in 1925. She was a rural school teacher at Bailey, Iowa and in Jamestown Township, and then later, being an Avon saleslady.

She cared for her father and mother until their deaths and has lived in the Riceville area for many years until she moved to the Stacyville Community Nursing Home in April of 1979.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. Gail Eide, Riceville; one uncle, Oliver White, several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Leslie, Samuel and Bernard.

Interment was in Riverside Cemetery in Riceville with the Conway Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Clark, 78, who died Wednesday at Stacyville Community Nursing Home, will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Riceville; burial at Riverside Cemetery, Riceville; she is survived by a sister, Mrs. Gail Eide of Riceville; friends may call after 2 p.m. Thursday at Conway Fuineral Home, Riceville.
