Stacyville Man
Dies While Hunting

STACYVILLE, IOWA - Robert Shotliff, 62, died suddenly Thursday afternoon of a heart attack while out pheasant hunting with friends. They were walking through a field and Shotliff had a pheasant tied to his belt when he stopped and collapsed. His companions, Ralph Wolf and Tony Bawek brought him to Stacyville, where a physician pronounced him dead.

Shotliff was an employee of the Illinois Central railroad, working out of Lyle, Stacyville and St Ansgar. He was a life-long resident of Stacyville and a son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Shotliff.

Surviving are his widow and four sons: Robert, Jr., Jordan Minn.; George, Charles an Clark, all at home.

Funeral services will be a 9:30 a. m. Monday at Visitation Church.
