RICEVILLE, IOWA — Ronald Roy Brandt, 55, of Gillespie, Illinois, formerly of Riceville, died on Tuesday March 12, 2013, at the St. Francis Hospital, in Litchfield, Illinois.

Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Thursday March 21, 2013, during the hours of 1 to 3 p.m.

Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville after the visitation with the Rev. Candraeah Carey officiating.

Obituary:
Ronald Roy Brandt, age 55, of Gillespie, Illinois formerly of Riceville, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at the St. Francis Hospital, in Litchfield, Illinois. Friends may call at the Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville on Thursday March 21, 2013 during the hours of 1 – 3 P.M. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Riceville following the visitation with Rev. Candraeah Carey officiating.

Ronald was born on May 12, 1957 to Roy G. and Vera (Allgood) Brandt. He attended local schools and graduated from Crestwood High School. Ronald was a truck driver and was employed at Lazer Spot.

Survivors include his fiancé Brenda Miller of Gillespie, Illinois, sons: Eddie, Patrick, and Robert Brandt of Texas, a step-son: Steven of Bunker Hill, Illinois, a step-daughter: Christina Crook of Bunker Hill, Illinois, Brothers: Dean Brandt of Denver, Iowa and Buck (Bonnie) Brandt of Cedar Falls, Iowa, two nephews and three nieces.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law Delight Brandt.

Visitation:
1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 21, 2013 Lindstrom Funeral Home in Riceville.

Cemetery:
Riverside Cemetery, Riceville.
