Anola O. Beyer, age 88, of Mitchell, died Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at her home.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, March 16, 2013, at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage with Rev. Bryan Lagerstam officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Mitchell. Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.
Anola was born July 16, 1924, in Williams, the daughter of Ellis and Hilda (Skogeboe) Bly. She received her education in Austin, Minnesota. On May 27, 1972, Anola was united in marriage to Dean Beyer at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Osage. She worked as a bartender at Larry’s Lounge in Osage and then later at the Town Pump in Mitchell. Anola was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Mitchell. Her hobbies included crocheting, sewing, dancing, going to Mick’s, yodeling, collecting nick-nacks, and spending time with friends. She loved her cat and chickens. Anola cherished time with her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. She will be remembered for her sense of humor and her appreciation of a good joke.
Anola is survived by her husband, Dean Beyer of Mitchell; four daughters, Judy (Dennis) Beyer of Fredericksburg, Kathy (Steven) Weipert of New Hampton, Dorothy (Irvin) Nystel of New Hampton, Nancy (Greg) Johnson of St. Ansgar; two sons, Dennis Tabor of Floyd, Jody (Linda) Roll of Mason City; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; a brother, Virgil (Caroline) Bly of Kensett; sisters-in-law, Dolores Hucke of Ottertail, Minnesota, Dallas (Glen) Heinzerling of Osage, Dorothy Beyer of Mitchell, Bonnie Bly of Osage, Jane Bly of St. Paul, Minnesota, Norma Bly of St. Paul, Minnesota; brother-in-law, George (Kris) Beyer of Mitchell.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Harold, Ervin, and Curtis Bly; a sister, Geraldine Prantner; sister-in-law, Dorothy Clayton; brothers-in-law, Donald, Darrell, Delbert, and Dale Beyer; mother and father-in-law, George and Elfrieda Beyer.
