MRS BOWERS FUNERAL IS HELD IN RICEVILLE CHURCH

Riceville, Oct. 26 – Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon for Mrs. Anna Bowers of Minneapolis, who for many years was the primary grade teacher in the Riceville schools.

Interment was made at the Riverside Cemetery after services at the Methodist church.

Anna was born January 30, 1867 in Minnesota, the daughter of Jacob Phileps and Elizabeth Schad. (not known whether this maiden name is Phillips or Phelps) (from 1925 Iowa Census)

She married James Henry Bowers, the son of John Bowers and Clarissa (Wallace) Bowers.
