WERE HELD MONDAYFuneral services were held Monday, November 28, 1949, at the Osage Lutheran Church, for Edward A. Christianson, 70, who died at his home in Osage on November 26. Rev. T. P. Solem officated, and interment was in the Rock Creek cemetery at Meroa.
Edward A. Christianson was born to Andrew and Johanna Christianson, on January 3, 1879, at Meroa. He attended public school at Meroa and for a number of years operated the home farm in partnership with his older brother, Peter. The two brothers later moved to Osage, where they continued to live until the elder brother's death on June 13, 1924.
On December 16, 1924, he was united in marriage with Mrs. Olga Brenden Kirksby. They lived in Osage and Mr. Christianson worked for the Mitchell county highway department. During the war he was employed by the Oliver corporation at Charles City.
Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.
Surviving are his wife; one daughter, Mrs. Iva May Nelson; two step-daughters, Mrs. Ethel Muller, and Mrs. Clarice Olswold, all of Osage; two brothers, Chris and Theodore, both of Osage; one sister, Mrs. Anna Julien of Brownsdale, Minnesota; three nephews, three nieces and four grandchildren.
