FUNERAL SERVICES FOR
MRS. HOWARD MORRIS
HELD HERE MONDAY

Funeral services were held Monday, November 28, 1949, at the Champion Funeral home for Mrs. Howard Morris, 49, who died Friday, November 25, 1949, at the Mercy Hospital in Mason City. The Rev. C. D. James was in charge of the services, with burial in the Osage cemetery.

Charlotte Merle Doty was born on February 17, 1900 to Charles and Etta Lunt Doty at Clarksville, Iowa. When she was a child the family moved to Osage where she received her education in the Osage schools and the Cedar Valley Seminary. She was a member of the Osage Universalist church until it disbanded several years ago.

On July 15, 1919, she was united in marriage to Howard Morris of Brownville. They lived there for several years, later moving to Osage where they made their permanent home.

Preceding her in death were her parents and three brothers, Howard, Arthur and Ross Doty. Surviving are her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Bohen, Jr., and Mrs. Irvin Zorn, both of Mason City; two grandchildren, Linda Bohen and Frederick Zorn; and a sister, Mrs. Mellie Cretes of Chatsworth, Illinois.
