DONALD J. BROOKER, 84, a resident of Santa Maria, passed away on January 13th, 2013. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Lori Family Mortuary, Santa Maria.

Donald Jesse Brooker
Donald Jesse Brooker, 84, of Santa Maria, California, passed away after a short illness on January 13, 2013.
Don was born in Forest City, Iowa, to Jesse and Marjorie Brooker on July 30, 1928. He graduated from the Osage High School in 1946. He loved music and joined the US Marine Corps and played in the Marine Corps band. He retired as a mail carrier in Lompoc, Calif.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joan Wright Brooker; his brother Alan (Barbara) Brooker; his son Daniel; daughter Diane Morrill (Ray); a brother Alan (Barbara); a brother-in law, Roger Wright (Betsy); five nieces; four nephews; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; and a great-granddaughter.
At his request cremation was held with private inurnment at a later date.
