Jerry Raymond Karwac

October 30, 1928 – May 9, 2006

YORKTOWN — Jerry Raymond Karwac, 77, passed away Tuesday, May 9, 2006, after several years of a courageous battle. At his side was his beloved wife of 53 years, Dolores R. Karwac, whom he always referred to as his bride.

Jerry is also survived by his sister, Mary Schallock, who lives in Osage, Iowa, where Jerry was born; his son, Jerry R. Karwac Jr. and his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Deborah Housden and her husband, Bill; two grandchildren, Jeremy Butler and Staci Edwards; and three great-grandchildren.

Also left to cherish Jerry's memories are four very special people, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris and Linwood Burcher, Laura and Otis Riggins.

Jerry Raymond Karwac was born October 30, 1928 in Osage, Mitchell, Iowa, the son of John Wilhelm Karwac and Juanita Elvira (Cook) Karwac.

He married Dolores Ann Riggins, the daughter of James Riggins and Lorean (Hudgins) Riggins. Dolores was born in York County, Virginia.

Jerry and his wife are both buried in the Grafton Christian Church Cemetery, Grafton, York County, Virginia.
