John T Blong – March 1, 1944 -- April 1, 2010

BETTENDORF: Dr. John T. Blong, 66, a resident of Bettendorf, died Thursday, April 1, 2010, at his residence. Arrangements are pending at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home.
Dr. Blong is the former Chancellor of the Eastern Iowa Community College District, serving Clinton, Muscatine and Scott Community Colleges.
Among survivors is his wife, Mary.

John T Blong was born March 1, 1944 in Stacyville, Mitchell Co., Iowa, the son of Theodore Blong and Doris Ethel (Hewitt) Blong.
He married Mary E Brown, the daughter of Adrian Boniface Brown and Alvina (Reding) Brown.
