Dan George Framstad was born April 5, 1895 at ​​Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa t​o​ Gudbrand Pedersen F​ra​mstad and Dortha Slette Ol​sda​tter. Dan was the sixth of their eight children. His siblings were: Peder Gudbrand; Kristine Anna; Anna C; Anna Olivia; Olga Louise; Della Randine and Ole Henry. (Sometimes found as George Dan Framstad.)

Dan was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church on May 12, 1895. His baptismal sponsors were: Mr & Mrs Olav Levorson; Ludvig Thompson and Kari Ammundsen. Dan was confirmed at RCLC on June 6, 1909.

Dan George Framstad fought in World War 1. He never married nor had children. He helped his father on the farm.

Dan died February 26, 1923 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa. ​
