A very sad and painful accident occurred at Theodore Thompson's last Friday afternoon in the death of a little child 4 years old whose death was occasioned by its loosing its balance as it was running across the floor and fell into a kettle of scalding beer which he had just taken from the fire and set on the floor. The little one was rescued as soon as discovered, but it was so badly burned as to die the next morning.
This should be a warning to all parents who are in the habit of setting down anything on the floor that might casue a similar accident especially a beer kettle. We feel sorry for the afflicted parents but it may be a lesson for good and they may be benefited thereby and reap a rich reward for the years to come and may their coming Christmases be those of joy and not sorrow.
