Narve Colbjornson died Thursday night after a long and painful illness. The news of his death was a matter of no surprise to our people as his case was pronounced a hopeless one from the time he was taken ill. The deceased, had his life been spared, would have been sixty-five years of age in September next.
He came here with his family from Rock county, Wis., in 1854 and settled on the place owned by him up till the time of his demise.
Mr. Colbjornson was a gentleman of good character, a good neighbor and a kind friend and his death is mourned by many.
The funeral services were held at the Norwegian Lutheran Church yesterday afternoon and were well attended considering the inclement weather. One by one the old settlers and pioneers of Mitchell County are passing to that home across the river.

We learn that Narve Colbjornson, residing one mile north of town, is lying very low and that his relatives fear he wil not recover. He is said to be suffering from a cancer in his stomach which is fast accomplishing its deadly work. The sick man suffered excruciating pain during the night, but rested a trifle easier this morning.St. Ansgar Enterprise
