Iver K. Thon – June 26, 1838 – March 23, 1931
IVER K. THON, 92, CARPENTER, DIES
Osage, May 1 – Iver K. Thon, 92 of Carpenter, died at the home of his granddaughter, Mrs. Blair McCready.
He was born at Voss, Norway and came to Madison, Wisconsin in 1860. The following year he was married to Isabel Uyre of Dand County, Wisconsin, and two years later came by ox team and prairie schooner to St. Ansgar, where he plied his trade of mason..
He is survived by three sons, Isaac of Boland; Ole of Minneapolis; and Charles of Spokane; and three daughters; Mrs. Bertha Wambeam at Waterloo; Mrs. Carrie Culbertson of Carpenter; and Mrs. Anna Culbertson of Northwood.
