GENA PENNEY SERVICES SET AT STACYVILLE

Stacyville – Mrs. George (Gena) Penney, 81, died Thursday at the Good Samaritan Home, Rochester, Minnesota. She was formerly a resident of Stacyville.

Surviving are two daughters; Mrs. Merle (Neva) Wagner, Rochester; Mrs. Van (Necia) Proosdy, Austin; three grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers; Percy and Sevrin Johnson, Minneapolis, Minnesota. Her husband died April 1959.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Hatten & Son Funeral Home. Burial will be in Stacyville Cemetery.

Gena B Johnson was born December 1, 1880 in Leroy, Mower County, Minnesota, the daughter of Peter A and Rosa Johnson.

She married George William Penney, the son of
William Penney Jr. and Hannah M (Halsey) Penney.
