John Syversen Fosholdt was born February 5, 1877 at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa to Syver Johnsen Fosholdt and Johanna Haraldsdatter Grov, the second of their eight children. John was baptized at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church at Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa on March 11, 1877. His baptismal sponsors: Sevor Olsen & wife, Lars Iver Olsen, Kari Kallum.
He was confirmed at RCLC on October 16, 1892.
John was a farmer. He never married nor had children.
Found in the 1880 - 1930 censuses at Rock Grove, Floyd, Iowa:
