Cedar Buried;
Was Iowan Many Years

LITTLE CEDAR, IOWA — Will Duckwitz, 62, farmer three miles east of town, died at a Mason City hospital Saturday night, following a second major operation.

Mr. Duckwitz was born in Effingham, Illinois. He came to Iowa at the age of 16. He was married to Anna Winer Dec. 24, 1896.

Funeral services were held at the Shelledy funeral home, Osage Tuesday afternoon, the Rev. H. M Tiffany, Fredericksburg, officiating. Burial was in Liberty township Cemetery.

Besides his wife, Mr. Duckwitz leaves one brother, Charles, of Little Cedar, two sisters, Mrs. Sam McLain and Mrs. Ernie Palmer in North Dakota, one daughter, Mrs. Joe Dynes, Riceville, and two grandchildren, one daughter having preceded him in death.
