Andrew Fods was born 1867 at Dane, Wisconsin to Ole Johnson Fods and Carrie (Karie) Larsdatter Fedge, one of their 11 (or 13?) children. Andrew's parents moved west from Wisconsin to settle at Rock township, Mitchell County, Iowa.
Found Andrew in the 1870 to 1895 censuses living at Rock, Mitchell, Iowa: 1870: Ole Tode 30, Carrie Tode 24, Lewis Tode 5, Andrew Tode 3, John Tode 1.
1880: Ole. J. Fodds 40, Carey Fodds 34, Lewis Fodds 14, Andrew Fodds 13, John Fodds 11, Eddy Fodds 10, Thomas Fodds 8, Albert Fodds 6, Ida Fodds 4, Paul Fodds 2, Rhoda Fodds 11m, Bell Iverson 22.

1895: Andrew Fods age 28.Andrew was confirmed at the St Ansgar Lutheran Church on May 18, 1882.
Andrew Fods married Petra Emelia Fjelde on December 26, 1896 at the Rock Creek Lutheran Church, Cedar township, Mitchell County, Iowa. The couple moved to South Dakota and had 6 children, 4 daughters, 2 sons: Olive, Alice, Martha, Ellen, Peter and Clifford.
Found in the 1910 census living at Buffalo, Minnehaha, South Dakota: Andrew Fodds 43, Emelia Fodds 36, Olive Fodds 12, Alice Fodds 7, Peter Fodds 4, Clifford Fodds 2.
Found in the 1920 census at Lake View, Lake, South Dakota: Andrew Fods 53, Emelia Fods 46, Alice Fods 16, Peter Fods 14, Clifford Fods 12, Martha Fods 8, Ellen Fods 5.
Found in the April 19, 1930 census at Utica, Yankton, South Dakota at the South Dakota State Hospital as an inmate: Andrew Fods age 62. (Wife Petra and children found in the 1930 census at Minnehaha, SD, says she is widowed which was false).
Andrew Fods died October 23, 1931 at Yankton, South Dakota and was buried at the Saint Jacobs Cemetery, Colton, Minnehaha, South Dakota.
