Edwin A. Clark was born on March 15, 1861, to James H. and Mary Lucinda Short Clark.
He died on March 28, 1949, of complications due to old age. Funeral services were last Thursday afternoon at the Champion Funeral Home, with Rev. C. James officiating. Burial was made in the Orchard cemetery.
He married Florence Dodge on May 20, 1885. Mrs. Clark died many years ago. He engaged in farming and later moved to Osage.
Surviving are three sons: Vern of McCook, Nebraska, Lewis and Leonard of Webster, Wisconsin; two daughters, Mrs. Lucy Nack of Webster, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Gladys Apling of Superior, Wisconsin; four sisters, Mrs. Harley DOuglas of Wasco, Calif., Mrs. E.M. Sweet of Upton, Wyoming, Mrs. Hattie Hall of Iowa Falls and Mrs. E.M. Dodge of Orchard; one brother, Dennis James Clark of Orchard; 15 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his wife; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Clark Williams and Mrs. Mary Clark Cheney; one brother, Robert L.; and five infant brothers and sisters.
