A funeral mass for Kathryn A. Dennis was held at 10 a.m., Monday, October 21 at the Immaculate Conception Church of Riceville with Reverend J.W. Bohr as celebrant. The Rosary service was held Sunday evening at the Chisholm Funeral Home with burial in Calvary Cemetery.
Mrs. Dennis passed away in Spencer, Iowa hospital on Friday, October 18 after several weeks of illness.
Mrs Dennis was born January 18, 1888 to Mr. and Mrs. John Burke in Riceville. She was married to Sherman B. Dennis on June 9, 1925 at St. Paul, Minnesota. They lived in Little falls, Minnesota for several years. Mr. Dennis passed away in the Riceville hospital on December 9, 1947. For the past 10 years, Mrs. Dennis had spent the winter in Phoenix, Arizona.
Preceding her in death was her husband, parents, two brothers, Raymond and Norbert Burke and a sister, Genevieve Burke.
