Nearly six years of ill health was climazed March 11 by a heart attack which claimed the life of Mrs. S.O. Thompson, age 51 years, Northwood.

Marie Allanson Thompson, the only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lars L. Allanson, St. Ansgar, was born on a farm in Barton township, Worth county, July 18, 1885. Her education was obtained in the rural school of her community and at the Cedar Valley Seminary of Osage. She was confirmed in the Deer Creek Lutheran church in 1900 and has been a member of the Northwood Lutheran church.

On January 1, 1913 she was married to S.O. Thompson, Barton township and moved to Northwood with her husband who has been engaged in business in that city. To this union, two children were born, Wilma, a teacher in the Worth County rural schools and Fern, at home.

Besides her husband and two daughters, she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Torborg Allanson, St. Ansgar, and six brothers; Edward, Philadelphia; Henry, Washington, D.C.; Oscar, Valparaiso, Ind.; Clarence, St. Paul; Roy, Buffalo, N.Y.; and Clifford, Ithica, N.Y. Her father preceded her in death.

Funeral services were held from the Lutheran church at Northwood Monday afternoon, the Rev. B.A. Benson and the Rev. Olaf A. Langehough conducting with interment at the St. Ansgar Lutheran cemetery. All of the brothers with the exception of two were present at the funeral. Clifford, who is recovering from a broken leg and Roy, whose business prevented his leaving at this time, were unable to attend.
