Elmer Herman Eidnes was born April 4, 1899 at Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa to Lars Eidnes and Ingeborg Sponheim, the fifth of six children. Elmer's siblings were: Ella, Oscar, Clara, Adella and Lula (Sula).
He married Ina Clarinda Smalley on September 18, 1929 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa.
He married Clara Blockhus on June 9, 1960 at Mason City, Iowa.
Elmer Eidnes died November 2, 1978 at Osage, Mitchell, Iowa and was buried at the Rock Creek Lutheran Cemetery, Meroa, Cedar, Mitchell, Iowa.
