Funeral services for Donald Thorson, 60, who died March 5, 1960 at his home in St. Ansgar, were held at the First Lutheran church, St. Ansgar. He had undergone surgery in December from which he never completely recovered.
He is survived by his wife, Leona; three sons, Harold and Allen of St. Ansgar and Eugene in the U.S. Navy; two daughters Lucille (Mrs. Virgil Horgan) and Elaine (Mrs. Dean Hanson), both of St. Ansgar, and seven grandchildren.
There also are five brothers, Roy, Grand Rapids, Minn.; Clifford, Leon and Annis of St. Ansgar and Hubert of Mason City; three sisters, Alma (Mrs. Leslie Sanders) Northwood, Mildred (Mrs. Otto W. Tesch), St. Ansgar, and Rose (Mrs. William Fries) Kansas City, Mo.
