Arthur Trettin, 84, a longtime Grafton area farmer and lifelong Grafton area resident, died Sunday, January 24, 1988, at an Osage hospital.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Emmanuel Lutheran Church, Grafton. The Rev. Gregory Bjornstad officiated and burial was in the Grafton Cemetery.
Mr. Trettin was born January 13, 1904, in Worth County to Henry and Mary (Nitschke) Trettin. He attended rural schools in the Grafton area.
On May 1, 1927, he married Dora Schultz in Grafton. Mr. Trettin farmed in the Grafton area all his life.
He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Grafton.
He is survived by his wife, Dora of Grafton; a daughter, LaVonne (Elery) Kruger of Grafton, a sister Mrs. Laville Hollatz, Pompano Beach, Florida; five grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and a step-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
