Funeral services for Mrs. Arthur C. Trettin, 75, who died June 14, 1962 were held June 18 at the First Lutheran church with the Rev. John Langehough officiating.
OBITUARY
Mrs. Arthur C. (Minnie) Trettin was born October 19, 1887 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of William and Minnie Hacker. She was baptized November 14, 1887 by Rev. H. Engelbrecht of Chicago and confirmed by Rev. John J. Louck in the Evangelical Lutheran Church, Mason City, March 23, 1902.
Her family moved to a farm near Postville in 1900 where they lived until they purchased a farm north of Mason City where she made her home until she married Arthur Trettin on November 28, 1907. They established their home on a farm near Grafton until 1922 when they purchased a farm north of St. Ansgar. In 1949 they retired from the farm and moved to the town of St. Ansgar where she lived until her death June 14, 1962. She was a member of the First Lutheran Church and active in many church activities, working with the women of the church and circles and was a good neighbor and friend.
She is survived by her son, Orval and daughter-in-law, Florence; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Windt of Nora Springs and Mrs. Clifford Huntley of Strawberry Point and two brothers, Max of ________ and Frank, Mason CIty.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and five brothers, Herman, William, Charlie, Emil and Edward.
Interment was in the St. Ansgar cemetery.

ST. ANSGAR, IOWA — Mrs. Minnie Trettin, 74, died Thursday at the Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage, following a long illness.
Funeral services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at the First Lutheran Church here. The Rev. John Langehough of Dows will officiate. Burial will be in the city cemetery here, with Schroder & Houg Funeral Home in charge.
Surviving are a son, Orval, in the home farm north of St Ansgar; two brothers, Max Hacker, Florida; Frank Hacker, Mason City; two sisters Mrs. Ida Wendt, Nora Springs and Mrs. Anna Huntly, Strawberry Point.
