Osage Vicinity Dies;
Funeral Held FridayOsage, Iowa — Funeral services were held Friday morning for Andrew Ryan, 75, who died Wednesday at the state hospital, Independence, where he had been hospitalized for three weeks.
Rites will be at the Sacred Heart church under the direction of the Rev. George Stemm, with burial in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Rosary was said Thursday evening at the Champion funeral home.
Andrew Ryan was born July 21, 1871, on a farm northwest of Osage, son of John and Ann (Fishry)** Ryan.
He had resided all his life in Mitchell county. He was taken ill in December, hospitalized at Mason City, then taken to the state hospital for treatment.
A brother, Thomas, Osage, survives.

** It is believed that the name (the newspaper spelled it Fishry) should be Furey or Fury.
