FORMER OSAGE MAN DIES IN PENNSYLVANIA
Osage – Howard Welch Godfrey, 63, a former Osage resident, was buried Tuesday in George Washington Memorial Park Cemetery, Jenkinstown, Pennsylvania.
The son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Godfrey, he was born in Lincoln Township, southeast of Osage, in 1898.
He was married to Lucille Gregory in 1916. He was co-owner of the Sweet Shops in Osage and Austin before going to Philadelphia n 1943.
Survivors are his second wife, Betty; a son, four daughters and a sister.
