Herbert G. Lunde, 71, of Mason City, died on Sunday, February 14, 1993 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday at Rock Creek Lutheran Church, rural Osage, with Rev. R. Hoppenworth officiating. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Herbert G. Lunde was born on May 19, 1921 in Mitchell County near Nora Springs. His parents were Gustav and Othilda (Leverson) Lunde.
He attended rural schools in Mitchell County and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1938. On November 29, 1942, he married Nellie Seeley at Plymouth. They made their home and farmed in Mitchell County.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie, Mason City; five sons: Carroll Lunde of Fort Madison, Harlan Lunde of Maribel, Wisconsin, Gary Lunde of Iowa City and John and David Lunde, both of Mason City; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, and three brothers.
