George F. Brandau, 70, died on Sunday, August 15, 1993, at Mitchell County Memorial Hospital, Osage.
Funeral services were held on Wednesday at Eden Presbyterian Church, rural Rudd, Iowa, with the Rev. G. Smith officiating. Burial was in Eden Presbyterian Cemetery.
He was the son of George F. and Anna (Ahrens) Brandau. He was educated in rural schools and graduated from Rudd High School in 1941. He married Joan D. Bascomb of Osage. He farmed until retiring in 1988. George was an active member of Eden Presbyterian Church.
George F. Brandau was born on May 16, 1923, in west Cedar Township, Mitchell County, Iowa.
Survivors include his wife, Joan; one daughter, Judith Maas; seven sons: Steven and his wife Jean, Russell, Craig and his wife Colette, Kenneth and his wife Linda, Bruce and his wife Susie, Alvin and David Brandau; one brother, Wilbert Brandau; and 17 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
