Gaylen O. Jacobs

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 28, 1988 at 2 p.m. at Champion Funeral Home, Osage, for Galen O. Jacobs, 60, of Joplin, Missouri, formerly of Osage. The Rev. Keith Hejnal of the United Church of Christ will officiate with burial in the Osage Cemetery. Mr. Jacobs died Sunday, April 24, 1988 at a Joplin hospital.

He was born August 11, 1927 in Osage, the son of Dean and Grace Jacobs. He served in the U. S. Army Airborne.

On June 12, 1949 he married Norma L. Johnson in Osage. They farmed in the New Haven area until 1975 when they moved to Joplin. They owned and operated the Club Package Liquor Store in Joplin.

Survivors include his wife, Norma of Joplin, Missouri; three daughters: Mrs. Larry (Rene) Killion of Joplin, Mrs. Don (Linda) Epperson of Rogersville, Missouri, and Mrs. Hank (Janell) Routledge of Joplin; three sons: Charles of Osage, David of Asbury, Missouri, and Mark of Joplin; his parents, Dean and Grace Jacobs; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Josephine) Williams of Iowa Falls, and Mrs. Richard (Vera) Gajewski of Baltimore, Maryland; and one brother, Frank of Osage.
