AGED RESIDENT DIES AT HOME IN ST. ANSGAR
St. Ansgar – Funeral services for John A. Wiger, 81, were held Tuesday at 4 o’clock at the First Lutheran Church, the Rev. O. A. Langehough officiating.
He had been a resident of St. Ansgar and vicinity for 51 years and died Saturday at his home here.
Mr. Wiger fell in his home in March and broke his hip, never recovering from the accident. He was cared for at the Cedar Valley Hospital, Charles City; later returning to his home, where he was cared for by relatives until his death.
His wife died in June 1940. Surviving are 2 sisters living in Norway. He leaves several nieces and nephews in St. Ansgar and Vicinity.
