OSAGE, IOWA - John J. Weber, age 67, of Osage, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at the Mitchell County Regional Health Center Hospice Unit in Osage.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, June 19, at the First United Methodist Church in Osage, with Pastor Sam Mack officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date at the Osage Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at the Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage.

John was born June 1, 1945, in Austin, Minnesota, the son of William and Ella (Schultz) Weber. He was united in marriage to Fern Finch on December 16, 1967, at Grace United Methodist Church in Mason City. After a long career in the automotive field, John along with sons Bill and Brad, opened Weber Auto Parts in 1995.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Osage. John enjoyed racing, fishing trips to Canada, golfing, camping and spending time with family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Fern Weber of Osage; three sons, Phil (Carrie) of New Boston, Illinois, and children Tyler and Nikki, Bill (Brenda) of Osage and children Alicia and Jeff, Brad (Rhonda) of Osage; five sisters: Dorothy Sullivan of Mason City, Margaret Linderman of Mason City, Helen (Richard) Schmidt of Osage, LaDonna (Donald) Parker of Charles City and Jean Friend of Glendora, Calif.; a brother, Jake (Deb) Weber of Clear Lake; and sisters-in-law, Kira Weber of Osage and Bonnie Evans of Long Beach, California.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers: Ralph, Joe, Bob and Kenneth Weber; a sister, Marie Bonasera; and a brother-in-law, Ray Friend.
